When a qualtz glass tube is applied, it is desirable to perform the heat deairing treatment for more than 2 hours at a temperature of 1,100 to 1,200°C in an atmosphere of nitrogen or inert gas such as argon. In the case of a high cilicic acid glass tube, the treatment is made desirably for than 2 hours at a temperature of 900 to 1,100°C
