CONSTITUTION: Secondary particles of hydrated calcium silicate are added to water containing 1/200W1/5mol, per mole of the calcium, of an acid such as hydrochloric or formic acid and stirred at high speeds to decompose the secondary particles, filtered, washed with water and dried. Thus, the secondary particles of hydrated calcium silicate with a shape of ball or chestnut burr are decomposed and the resultant dispersion well disperses in a resin to show the same effect as needle or plate crystals of hydrated calcium silicate, resulting in reinforcing the resin efficiently.
